THE HOTEL

Ground Floor

Sociability

On the first floor you will find our saloon, drying room, kitchen, dining room, two general toilet rooms and Steef’s private workshop.

Saloon and terrace

In our cozy saloon and patio you can have a beer from our special tap, starting at 4 p.m.. You can have a chat, play a game, play guitar, have a snack, listen to music (and sing along), laugh, and half an hour before closing time you can shout that it’s time for the last round.

Do you have fun trophies such as caps, badges, key chains or stickers from your motorcycle club or group? Make our saloon even cozier and feel free to bring them along!

Kitchen

The kitchen is Jell’s domain (dish washers are always welcome). In our hotel you eat whatever comes up your plate: always a good, tasty and common meal. In the afternoon you can get snacks and drinks: check the chalkboard in the saloon to see what’s on offer.

Drying Room

We hope, of course, for as few showers as possible along the way. But should you have picked up a wet suit, you can dispose of it in the drying room. We also store wet boots here. Then you are most likely to have your clothes dry the next day. We don’t hang dripping clothes in the rooms. Our antique curtain row unfortunately cannot withstand this, and replacing warped laminate is not our greatest hobby.

Garage

Park your motorcycle safely in our locked garage, which has room for about 15 motorcycles. If the garage is full, park your bike on our own property, just as safe.

Workshop

The workshop is Steef’s sanctuary. He is always up for a chat about his projects and the bikes!

The rooms

On the second floor you will find our ten rooms with a total of 23 beds. Each room has the name of an bike part; you’ll probably spend the night in The Tank Cap, The Fender or The Brake Caliper.

Eight rooms have a private bathroom with toilet and shower:
1x double room with a double bed
4x double room with 2 single beds
2x double room with a bunk bed
1x triple room with 3 single beds

Two rooms share a spacious bathroom in the hallway:
1x double room with 2 single beds and washbasin
1x quad room with double bed, bunk bed and washbasin

All rooms come with linens, two towels per person and hand soap. We will change your towel once every two days during the room check upon request. Using a day longer is good for the environment!

A little piece of history

How long our building has been there is not entirely known, but that it has a long history, we do know! The year of construction of the newest section is estimated to be around 1750, and it is further suspected that the rear section has been there for about 500 years.

The hotel has always functioned as a “Gasthof” under various names. It also housed a food store, in the part that is now the drying room. The Müller and Hirsch families were the previous residents in the past, and the house passed from generation to generation. We found several old postcards with pictures of Kroppach, on which our building is always prominently displayed.

Of course, the house has undergone some changes all these years, feel free to come and do “find the differences”!
